The Aurbach Name is Strong throughout District 30

Dallas, Texas, March 05, 2006 - The Wilson Aurbach for U.S. Congress campaign is approaching Election Day with a strong grassroots finish. Following ten weeks of intense grassroots campaigning throughout District 30, voters are taking the Aurbach name to the polls.

From Dallas to Lancaster and Balch Springs to Desoto, over 500 yard signs proudly display Aurbach's candidacy. More than 600 voters have received personal visits at their home from Aurbach and his volunteers, and approximately 2000 households have received literature from our neighborhood walk campaigns. Moreover, during this last weekend before the election, over 400 households were visited in Desoto and 250 in Dallas. In addition, thousands of phone calls have been made to voters in District 30.

“My outreach efforts have exceeded my expectations, primarily due to my wonderful grassroots volunteers and supporters,” states Aurbach. “Rain or shine, we have worked hard to reach out to voters and share with them my vision for the District.”

Aurbach has also visited with residents at five neighborhood receptions to which over 1,200 residents were invited to meet him and ask questions pertaining to his candidacy. “My favorite part of this campaign has been visiting personally with the voters and presenting a transparent candidacy throughout the District,” said Aurbach.

Aurbach is ready for a strong showing at the polls, followed by the privilege of taking a conservative message forward in District 30. “My decision to run in District 30 is based on a lifetime of experience in the District, and the vision to challenge an entrenched liberal Democrat incumbent. I want to challenge Eddie Bernice Johnson daily on the issues that face our District and our nation. It is time for a conservative voice in District 30!”

The Aurbach campaign has highlighted the following issues: homeland and national security; illegal immigration; rising health care costs; strengthening the economy; lowering taxes; and a commitment to pro-life issues.
